The deputy president, William Ruto, has led other principals of Kenya Kwanza Alliance in traversing Western region.
After holding successful rallies in Vihiga county, the alliance was today (Monday 7th) holding rallies in Busia county before heading to Kakamega county on Tuesday.
The rallies have been characterized by huge crowds, proving that Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula still command a huge following in the region. The two leaders have explained their fall out with Odinga to the area residents.
During a stopover at Ogalo shopping centre, Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala apologized for what he termed as misleading the people of Matungu constituency.
Malala was heading the campaigns for the current MP during the by-election that was held in May last year.
Oscar Peter Nabulindo was elected on an ANC Party ticket after the death of Justus Murunga. Despite a vigorous campaign that was led by Mudavadi and Malala, Nabulindo is among the ANC politicians who have joined Azimio la Umoja coalition which is led by Raila Odinga.
“I want to apologize to you the people of Ogalo. You remember I came and stood here and asked you to vote for Nabulindo? I apologize for having misled you. Naomba Msamaha,” alluded Malala.
The crowd accepted his apologies and promised to elect leaders who will respect Mudavadi and the Kenya Kwanza Alliance. Ruto who was sitting behind Malala was just smiling.
