RIP: French and PSG Defender Dies after Doctor’s Blunder During a Knee Surgery.
The footballing world has been thrown into mourning after it was announced that former Paris Saint Germain and French star Jean-Pierre Adams had succumbed earlier today.
Adams died at the age of 73 after being in a coma for almost 40 years. The news was confirmed by his former clubs PSG and Nimes and reported by various news outletsIn 1982, Adams had a knee injury which required surgery.
However, he was administered with a fatal dose of anaesthesia which damaged his brain thus sending him into a coma which he never woke from for 39 yearsAdams who was originally from Senegal was adopted by French parents.
He started his playing career with local sides before playing 126 times for Nimes then moved to PSF where he played for three seasons.
He also played 22 times for the French national teamHe retired in 1981 after which he went for knee surgery which brought his demise.
