The Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance held their first parliamentary group meeting at Maasai Lodge since the supreme Court Verdict. The meeting was attended by several leaders including President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Amolo Odinga and Martha Karua.
Mwingi west member of parliament Charles Nguna who attended the Azimio meeting revealed that there are 165 members of parliament who attended the rally. Taking to his Twitter account, Molo MP Francis Kuria Kimani referred to the high number of Azimio mps as “Hot air”.
He said, “This is Hot Air! You will see the true number at the election of speaker and Deputy speaker at both Houses tomorrow. Mark this tweet; the speaker of Na shall be Papa wa Roma Moses Wetangula and Governor Kingi for senate.
The two seats are hot contested between Azimio and Kenya Kwanza candidates. Azimio La Umoja meet to discuss on the leader they’ll front for the seat. Kalonzo Musyoka had been proposed for the senate speaker seat by the Azimio allied leaders.
